’70s Roller Rink Shoot

For my birthday this past April my wonderful fiancé, Laura, signed me up for the ’70s Roller Rink Shoot Seminar through the NewSpace Center for photography.  She knew I was itching to do some concept driven creative lighting photography and this seminar fit the bill.  I was so excited for this shoot because on the one hand it is very different than most of my professional work, but on the other, I was excited to apply my current skill set and personal aesthetic to a new environment.

Needless to say, the shoot day was a blast.  I met and learned from the always psyched and super talented Jeff Mawer.  If you haven’t seen his work, you’re in for a treat, check his site out here.

Big thanks to the folks over at Newspace for putting this together, and especially Jeff, Luke, Erandini, Mindee Jo, and Gina for an awesome Sunday morning.  I can’t wait to collaborate with you guys again!
