The Forbidden City – Beijing – Zoomable

Last weeks zoom-able panoramic of the Hawthorne Bridge was such a hit that I decided to post another zoomable image from the other side of the world.  I was on assignment in Beijing, China a couple years back and despite my hectic shooting schedule I squeezed in some recreational shooting!  The Forbidden City is a remarkable place.  It’s simply huge and keeps going and going!  I was fortunate enough to get in the doors just before sunset and just before they shuffled everyone out to close the place.   This is a panoramic image shot on my old trusty Nikon D300 and the Nikon 24mm PC-E.  Shifted left, center and right and then stitched for all you that want to hear how it was done.

Check it out in its full screen glory HERE and be sure to hit “f” once the page has loaded!

Enjoy.
